The Trade Victoria’s Access Program offers facilities, export-related assistance and in-country expertise to Victorian company representatives visiting overseas markets.

 

Objectives

The Trade Victoria’s Access Program gives Victorian organisations a key advantage and leverages its ability to understand the inside culture of a new country market.

The Access Programs aim to help Victorian companies:

  • forge new relationships with partners
  • market their products more effectively
  • set up an operation in the region.

Funding

The Trade Victoria’s Access Program offers:

  • free overseas facilities and advice for the first two weeks
  • a reduced rate of US$250 per month, for up to three months after the first two weeks.

Local Trade and Investment Office staff in these markets can provide:

  • market intelligence
  • strategies for market entry
  • cultural training
  • introductions and networking
  • agent identification
  • product/service evaluation.

 

Eligibility

The Trade Victoria’s Access Program is available for Victorian businesses planning to establish new export markets in key countries and regions, including:

  • USA
  • Japan
  • South Korea
  • Middle East
  • China
  • Hong Kong
  • India
  • South East Asia.

You should have an export strategy prior to applying.

Victorian businesses wishing to use the Access Program┬ámust receive approval from the Department of Economic Development, Jobs, Transport and Resources. Bookings should be made in advance. The program is available on a ‘first-come first-served’ basis.

Victorian businesses visiting the VGBOs to identify export opportunities in the regions, may be eligible to use the VGBO’s facilities and services including:Local Trade and Investment Office staff in these markets can provide:

  • desk space, computer including broadband access, local phone, printer, copier, fax
  • initial market research
  • cultural training
  • introductions and networking
  • logistical support
  • agent identification
  • product and service evaluation.
