What is the Commercial Refrigerator Rebates?

The Commercial Refrigerator Rebates is a program to provide NSW small businesses with a rebate when they purchase or lease a new, eligible, plug-in commercial fridge or freezer.

Background

The Commercial Refrigerator Rebate Program is administered by the Department of Planning, Industry and Environment. The Program offers eligible Small Businesses (you) a partial reimbursement (Rebate) for the purchase or lease of up to 5 new Eligible Commercial Refrigerators.

The Rebate can help you by subsidising the cost of energy efficient refrigerated cabinets. Over their life, these cabinets can use less electricity and therefore save energy and reduce energy bills.

Rebate Program

Businesses can receive a rebate of up to $1490 per fridge.

Savings vary between models. For example, you could get a rebate of $500 on an energy efficient, two door vertical display fridge. Compared to a standard fridge, this could save you over $350 a year off your energy bill.

The rebate is calculated based on the estimated energy consumption over the lifetime of the fridge.

Fridges cannot be purchased on this website. Buy or lease one through a commercial fridge dealer or manufacturer.
