Up to $2,000 is available for projects within Victoria working with Indigenous, Asylum Seeker or Refugee communities.
The EastWeb Fund is a sub-fund of the Australian Communities Foundation run by a group of young people who recognise that Indigenous, Asylum Seeker and Refugee communities experience significant marginalisation and discrimination which hamper their ability to fully participate in community life.
The group works to counter this disadvantage, promote community capacity and self-determination.
The EastWeb Fund is also committed to developing partnerships which promote equality and understanding between Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities. We also promote the full participation of Refugee and Asylum Seeker communities in the wider community.
The EastWeb Fund aims to support, financially and in kind, projects based in Victoria that work for and with these communities to combat disadvantage and create long term change.
The EastWeb Fund gives small grants of up to $2,000 to projects within Victoria working with Indigenous, Asylum Seeker or Refugee communities.
The EastWeb Fund funds projects that build the capacity of communities to create long term strategies for change. Eastweb can also help source in-kind support for your project, including volunteers to support your project, assistance with grant-writing or businesses willing to donate their products or services.
EastWeb gives small grants to projects within Victoria working with Indigenous, Asylum Seeker or Refugee communities in the areas of:
- health care;
- education; and
- cultural heritage promotion and maintenance.
Eastweb always welcomes applications – Please note that although there are no closing dates for applications to EastWeb, applications will be assessed every second month (January, March, May, July, September, November). It may take up to three months to advise on the outcome of an application.
Writing a good quality grant application is a critical element in the application process. An application needs to be well thought through, written concisely, have clear objectives and purpose, and show clear links to the objectives of the grant guidelines.
The grant application must answer all questions, provide all required information and respond to the merit criteria. It should also reflect your organisation’s business strategy.
Writing a good application takes time and effort, and requires particular writing skills.
