Advance and KPMG launched the 2017 elevate61 to help high performing Australian businesses to fast track their growth into the United States and beyond.
elevate61 is a two phase program designed to enable high performing Australian businesses to fast track their growth into the United States and beyond and it provides participants with facilitated access to an established network of successful Australian and US-based entrepreneurs, investors, advisors and global corporations.
Together Advance and KPMG Australia bring a unique combination of experience in the startup environment and global experience in helping businesses adapt and grow. In this program startups learn from some of Australia’s best business minds on how to overcome cultural nuances, tackle complex business challenges and transform into a globally sustainable company.
elevate61 provides mentorship, education and access to an established premium network of Australian and US corporations, investors and entrepreneurs. Following 12 weeks of learning and inspiration, elevate61 participants fly to the United States for the opportunity to meet with potential customers and investors.
elevate61 was created to improve the understanding of the challenges critical to success in the enterprise world.
The elevate61 program has two phases:
Interactive boot camp-style workshops, covering topics such as:
- establishing your business for and in the US
- developing a winning value proposition and pitch
- small market verses large market selling
- building a valuable network and mentors
- developing a structured path to fundraising – investor readiness.
Workshops are held in Sydney and will cost $3500 plus GST per company. During the workshop, your business will also be assessed on your suitability to participate in the tour to the US.
Tour to the US
Selected startups who have completed the workshop program will be taken on a tour to Los Angeles, San Francisco and New York. They will be provided with the opportunity to meet and interact with a range of US-based entrepreneurs, investors, advisers and global corporations.
Post-seed funded, technology enabled, enterprise start-ups (B2B) that are currently experiencing or preparing for rapid growth in Australia and are ready to expand into the US may apply.
elevate61 applicants will ideally:
- be an Australian registered business with an ABN
- have already launched a product and/or service in the market
- have customers
- be business to business (B2B) focused
- have approximately $500,000 or more turnover in the last 12 months
- have received seed funding
- have a team of at least two people.
