Events Tasmania Touring Grants

Events Tasmania Touring Grants

Touring grants are available to eligible organisers of auto, motorbike, cycle or walking tours in Tasmania during the winter and shoulder season. Funding is based on the number of interstate or international participants staying in paid commercial accommodation for five nights or more, with 40 percent or more of the tour being held in regional areas.

Background

Events Tasmania is committed to increasing the number of people coming to Tasmania, and ensuring that they travel around the state while they are here. As part of meeting these objectives, Events Tasmania is offering incentives to organisers of motor vehicle, motorcycle, and cycle tours that come to tour around Tasmania.

Funding

Touring grants of up to $15,000 are available to eligible organisers of auto, motorbike, cycle or walking tours in Tasmania during the winter and shoulder season.

  • spending 40% or more of the tour in regional areas (outside Greater Hobart).

Motorhome, caravan, camping and walking tours may also be eligible, but only for the days that participants spend in paid accommodation, and with the same ratio of 40% paid accommodation in regional areas.

Eligible Applicants

Applicants can be based anywhere in Australia, and must be able to enter into a funding agreement with the Tasmanian Government.

Timing

Applications may be made at any time, however applicants are asked to lodge their application three months prior to the commencement of the tour.
