Monash University Generator Accelerator Program
The Monash University Generator Accelerator Program is a three-month intensive program to accelerator your startup. The ACCELERATOR takes no equity in the startups.
Background
Monash is invested in building the next generation of entrepreneurs who will go on to impact the world. The Generator is Monash University’s entrepreneurship hub, which supports the entrepreneurial journey for early stage startups.
This Monash University Generator Accelerator Program is intensive and focused on helping startups to gain early traction. Successful startups are homed in the ACCELERATOR’s dedicated co-working space located at Monash University Clayton Campus, alongside our full-time Entrepreneur in Residence. As a founder you’ll have access to some of the best mentors in the ecosystem who have founded and scaled startups, and support from professional services including law firms, accountants, creative agencies and technology platforms.
Funding
The three month program launches on Monday 28 August and will provide teams with all that’s needed to exponentially grow, including:
- $20,000 in seed funding (no equity taken)
- Daily ‘on tap’ support from the Generator’s Entrepreneur-in-Residence
- Mentoring by a successful startup founder
- Legal, IP and tax advice
- A dedicated space in the Generator co-working space
- Investor demo day at the end of November
Eligibility
The Generator Accelerator is open to all Monash alumni, students and staff who are looking for an opportunity to gain traction and growth in 2017.
At least one (1) founder of your startup must be a student, staff or alumni of Monash University.
Founder is defined as someone with minimum 10% equity in the startup. The rest of your team can be composed of whoever makes sense.
Timing
Applications close 31 July 2017.
Successful startups are notified via email on 14 August 2017 and program officially begins on 28 August 2017.
