A 12 month industry-based training program for drug development project managers.

PDDP

Overview

The Practical Drug Development Program (PDDP) is an industry-based training program for drug development project managers. Drug development project managers are identified, placed and mentored over a 12-month period by the program delivery team at Medicines Developments Limited (MDL).

The Practical Drug Development Program (PDDP) is delivered by Medicines Development Ltd (MDL), a leading Melbourne-based provider of specialist development expertise to the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry. MDL trains dedicated project managers and places them in biotechnology companies to supplement existing drug development capabilities, with ongoing mentoring and support from specialist advisers.

Objective

The Practical Drug Development Program’s long term goal is to enhance the development of new pharmaceutical products, add value to intellectual property, lead to more effective translation of research and increase the sector’s attractiveness to investors.

Eligibility

The Practical Drug Development Program (PDDP) targets biotechnology companies working in the nonclinical, pre-clinical and early clinical (Phase I and II) stages of drug development. It also targets those interested in becoming drug development program managers.
