Up to $20,000 is available to help organisations and agencies working with Australian children in need.
Real Needs is a community grants program of Real Insurance. It encourages Not-For-Profit organizations working with children to apply for charitable funding, which will enable them to further aid youth in need.
Real Needs aims to make a positive difference by providing charities with grants that assist them to manage programs that help children in need across Australia, and make a real difference to the community by addressing the growing issues faced by Australia’s youth.
The Real Needs program addresses this issue by providing grants to community organisations that work with disadvantaged or under privileged children.
The Real Needs Program is run on a monthly basis, with grants allocated in values of $5,000, $10,000 and $20,000.
For projects that qualify for the $5,000 grant, you need to spend the funding within 6 months of receiving the grant.
For projects that qualify for the $10,000 and $20,000 grants, you need to spend the funding within 12 months of receiving the grant.

- Registered charities
- Schools P&C (not the administration)
- Community groups and services
- Sporting clubs
- Hospital community programs (not the hospital admin)
Submissions open on the first Monday of every month and close at Midnight on the last Sunday.
