Regional Solutions is a performance-based grant developed to support job creation in regional NSW, and forms part of the Regional Jobs Now portfolio.
In November 2015, Bulletpoint assisted Harry & Larry’s Ice-cream secure $1,200,000. Based in Brunswick, Harry & Larry’s manufacture a range of specialty ice creams.
The grant will see 30 new jobs created and investment in a factory expansion with custom engineered production lines, including the latest freezing technology, to make a range of gourmet ice creams and desserts in complex shapes and layers.
In March 2014, Bulletpoint assisted Cottage Cheese Farm secure $765,000. Based in Glenroy, Victoria, Cottage Cheese Farm is a speciality cheese manufacturer making mainly Haloumi, Ricotta and Mozzarella cheeses.
They received funding to assist with construction of a $6M purpose built cheese and yoghurt manufacturing facility. The project will allow them to expand current operations and introduction of new product lines.

Regional Solutions is a pilot program which will run as a competitive process where applicants initially complete an Expression of Interest (EOI) form for all programs in the Regional Jobs Now portfolio. Jobs for NSW will endeavour to inform applicants within five days of the outcome of their EOI. EOI applicants that are eligible and best suited for the program will then have set timeframes in which to complete the full application for the grant.
There is no limit to the funding amount you can request, however this is a competitive funding round and applications will be assessed and ranked on merit. In some cases, amounts requested may be reduced based on the available funding. Funding is capped at 50% of the total project costs.
A total of $30 million of funding is available up to the end of the 2018/19 financial year.
Projects with the potential to directly create the equivalent of at least 10 full time new jobs in regional NSW, within two years of project commencement, may be considered for this program
Suitable projects include business expansion and the opening of new offices in regional NSW. Additional priority will be given to those projects in Jobs for NSW focus segments and regional priorities identified by the Office of Regional Development.
Australian businesses that plan to create a minimum of the equivalent of 10 full time jobs within two years of project commencement.
Applicants must also:
- have an ABN number, with a registered office/principal place of business located in Australia
- be operating for a profit
- have been operating for a minimum one year
- not have already committed to funding the stage of the project which is the subject of the application
- be solvent and not be under criminal investigation
- not have a history of bankruptcy or adverse findings against them (including company directors) and are up to date with their statutory requirements
- be prepared to declare all existing loans, debts and securities
