Up to $50,000 is available from Sunsuper Community Grants to support projects that will improve the lives of Australians in need.

Sunsuper Community Grants

Sunsuper’s Community Grants are here to give you the leg up, a helping hand to make your dream a reality. As one of Australia’s most highly rated and awarded super funds, Sunsuper is committed to inspiring and empowering people to make their dreams more than dreams; now and right through retirement.

Background

Sunsuper’s Dreams for a Better World program is all about partnering with those who dream big and do good to improve the lives of other Australians and their community, and $150,000 in grants available to help make it happen.

Since 2011, Sunsuper’s Dreams for a Better World program has been supporting community development programs and partnering with not-for-profit organisations that help bring lasting and positive change to the lives of many Australians. Sunsuper has expanded the program so that community-minded small businesses can also apply for a grant, and help tackle a local or social issue in their community.

Funding Rounds

There are three rounds for community grants and each round has a different theme. If your dream fits the criteria and is eligible apply for your chance to receive up to $50,000 in grants to help a cause close to your heart.

$5,000 is granted to the three finalists for each round with the highest number of valid public votes in their round. An additional $5,000 is given to the Round Winner chosen by the Expert Judging Panel.

The four round winners will then each be allocated further grants of $30,000, $15,000, $10,000 or $5,000 depending on where they are placed overall following the Grand Final pitch and will receive their grants at the Grand Final Awards Night. An Additional $10,000 grant will be awarded to the People’s Choice recipient.

Round 1: Better Living
It may be a community development program to create more affordable housing or help our ageing population or new-comers to Australia. Or your dream may help kids and families in need or simply create a better environment for a more sustainable world. Dream big and tell us how your not-for-profit organisation can help others live better.

Round 2: Brighter Futures
If you need funding for education initiatives or to create jobs for those in need, or improve financial wellbeing and affordability for Australians. Sunsuper is also looking for dreams that enhance employment opportunities, or offer training and support to those who need a helping hand to get into or back to work.

Round 3: Active Community
If you’re looking for sports grants to help people of all ages and abilities be more active, or to improve the health and fitness of those in your community, apply for our Active Community grant. Or if you have a dream to create more active communities through health initiatives, wellbeing programs or by tackling medical issues faced by the wider community, Sunsuper also want to hear from you.

To qualify, your dream must aim to make a positive difference in the community, and it must also:
