Overview

The Tobin Brothers Foundation was established in 1984 and since then, the Foundation has made over 260 separate monetary awards now totaling over $400,000 to an array of worthy community groups.

 

Objective

The Tobin Brothers Foundation Grants aims to provide grants to organisations and individuals whose work can be shown to have meaningful “community benefit”. The foundation recognises those organisations that may have difficulty in obtaining funding from other government and/or private sources.

 

Funding

Grants of up to $2,500 are available. Recipients will be ineligible to re-apply for a period of two years.

 

Eligible Projects

The Foundation funds projects, items or ideas that demonstrate careful costing by the applicant organisation.

The Foundation does not usually make contributions toward larger funding projects such as building funds or capital works.

 

Eligible Applicants

Eligible applicants include smaller, local and community driven organisations.

Grants are limited to those organisations with Deductible Gift Recipient status, under item 1 in Division 30 of the Income Tax Assessment Act 1997.

Applicants must provide:
– Australian Business Number (ABN).
– Registered business name.
– Evidence of their status as a Deductible Gift Recipient.
